I recently realised that I hadn't done anything musically for a very long time and decided that it was time for me to 're-engage'. Once I finally picked up my guitar I didn't look back. I started writing some songs and played them to a great friend of mine who is a (well known) musician. I had never told him that I wrote my own songs and he was really amazed! He came up with the idea of me writing an album of songs about my journey through life. He also suggested that I performed the songs as part of an intimate evening with me talking about how people can make changes in their lives. My
love of music started when I joined the Belfast Youth Orchestra as a percussionist.
Like most teenagers my love of music also included the “contemporary” and
I later joined a band as a drummer. We went on to become a very popular band in
Ireland and even toured Europe. Later, when I lived in Guernsey, I became the lead
singer of a local band as well as playing the guitar.
